CEEDs (a play on the word “seeds”) of Peace promotes peace education. The four CEEDS (“Cs”) being promoted: Collaboration, Critical thinking, Cooperation, Communication
One of the instructors is Dr. Maya Soetoro-Ng, President Obama’ sister . Other speakers include
- Scarlett Lewis, a parent who lost her 7-year-old son in the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting. She passionately speaks to promote peace
- Kandhi Elieisar, Consul General to the Federated States of Micronesia
- James Koshiba, founder of Kanu Hawaii, a non-profit organization that cares about making Hawai`i a model of environmental sustainability and compassionate community
