Food Service Job Training

Kapiolani Community College (KCC, in Honolulu) is launching a series of “GoCook! Hawaii,” a fast track food service job training program that is free for anyone 16 years and older, who is unemployed or underemployed, and looking for immediate employment in the food industry.

Each training program runs for 12 weeks. Program start dates:

  • October 1, 2015
  • January 3, 2016
  • March 28, 2016
  • June 20, 2016

All hand-on training will be conducted at the KCC campus. Upon completion of the program, trainees will earn four college credits for the “Fundamentals of Cookery” class if they enroll in a Culinary Arts program in the UH Community College system.
Job referrals will be provided at the end of the training. This program is funded by a grant from the US Department of Labor and so is free for a limited time only. Class size is limited to 20 per session.
