2016 APHIS AgDiscovery Program in Hawai`i

This is “a unique summer program for teenage students [ages 14-17] to gain a first-hand look at the many career paths open to them in the agriculture sciences such as plant and animal science, wildlife management, and agribusiness.” It’s almost free: Students pay only the cost of their transportation to/from home to the college campus.

Application process:

  1. complete a 4-page application form
  2. write a 2-page essay
  3. acquire three character reference letters.

The complete application package (application form, essay, three reference letters in sealed envelopes) MUST BE MAILED TO:
