2016 High School Summer Internship Program

The UH Manoa College of Engineering has a six-week internship (non-paid) program that allows current high school juniors (Class of 2017) to take a hands-on approach to working in College of Engineering research laboratories. Interns will also participate in group activities and a field trip to local engineering companies.

Dates: June 20 – July 29, 2016
Application deadline: April 15, 2016
Site: UH Manoa College of Engineering (participant is responsible for transportation to/from campus)

  • $300 registration/administration fee upon selection and acceptance to participate in the program.
  • $300 waivers from Hawai`i P-20 are available for students on the free and reduced program and must indicate so on the application.
  • $300 scholarships (limited) are available to those students needing aid, but are not on the free and reduced program. They must write a supplemental essay (#3) to be eligible for the scholarship.
