May 31, 2018 update
Aloha `oe (Farewell to thee)!
After nearly two decades with the Hawai`i State Department of Education, I am hanging up my CTE hat (i.e., retiring) and moving on to the next chaper of life (e.g., adventures and travels). I leave with the full conviction that CTE is still “where it’s at” in terms of making education relevant to 21st Century learners and helping them make connections between school and their communities at large. It is always rewarding to see the light bulbs turn on. Yes, I intend to remain active in the CTE arena and therefore will try to keep this website active and relevant to the best of my ability and capability.
Me ke aloha pumehana,
Greetings for the New Year 2013, and best wishes for a wonderful year full of pleasant surprises! I am setting foot firmly into the 21st Century with this website to provide information on CTE matters (e.g., deadlines) and related resources.
The purpose of this website is to be a resource for all things CTE for Hawai`i, to the best of my knowledge and capacity. It is not meant to be the know-all and end-all source, but it should at least give the reader sufficient guidance and direction towards the end goal.
Hopefully this site will be will useful to you—your constructive feedback will be greatly appreciated!
Mahalo hui loa and big hugs to Simon Lau-Yamauchi for his knowledge, guidance, and patience in helping me develop this site.
